Getting the job Done …
Welcome back to another episode of The Get More Success show.
Today we are talking with a man who is homeless … well, actually, he is in between houses at the moment. He is an architect of sorts, has created very many things, I have known him for a long time and he is a friend of mine. I am sure you will enjoy hearing from Geoff McDonald.
Geoff really had to think about what success means to him and discovered that it was the joy he gets from his work. This shines through in our conversation.
Armed with a degree – and masters – in architecture, Geoff began his working life in the building industry. After a few years in practice, he found that all of the small detail that is such an integral part of architecture did not really hold much appeal for his big picture outlook.
These days, Geoff is an Ideas Architect – he works with clients creating information products such as training tools, books and presentation materials etc., for them.
Although he has published many books and generated a great deal of content over time, quite by chance Geoff found that he also had lots of material in limbo … projects that just hadn’t been finished. A quick change of strategy to focus his short-term strength has given him a new vigour to complete these projects and create a new book and training program, aptly titled ‘Done’. It has also lead him to fashioning a unique life/work style that allows him to live and work anywhere in the world …
